Dwayne Johnson and Josh Hutcherson Host a New Journey 2: The Mysterious Island Trailer

Opening in theaters on February 10, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island has just released, through Yahoo! Movies , a brand-new trailer with an introduction by stars Dwayne Johnson and Josh Hutcherson. Check it out in the player below!

Directed by Brad Peyton, the 3D family adventure also stars Michael Caine, Vanessa Hudgens, Luis Guzman and Kristen Davis.

Relativity Pushes Back The Raven and House at the End of the Street

Relativity Media has made two big release date changes today.

The Raven was scheduled to go up against John Carter on March 9th, but the James McTeigue-directed thriller will now open in theaters on April 27th. Starring John Cusack, Luke Evans, Alice Eve, Brendan Gleeson and Oliver Jackson-Cohen, the film faces The Five-Year Engagement and Safe on the new date.

Relativity also pushed back the Jennifer Lawrence-starrer House at the End of the Street from April 20th to September 21st. The horror thriller will go up against Dredd and Hotel Transylvania on the new release date.

Relativity’s Haywire just opened last Friday and their next film, Act of Valor , opens on February 24th.

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance Official Site Launched

Columbia Pictures has launched the official site for Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor’s Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance , opening in 3D and 2D theaters on February 17 and starring Nicolas Cage, Fergus Riordan, Ciaran Hinds, Violante Placido, Idris Elba and Johnny Whitworth.

The new site gives you a look at the storyline, the cast & filmmakers, a gallery of photos from the film, downloads such as animated GIFs, wallpapers, icons and Twitter skins, as well as videos. The site also features samples of the score by David Sardy.

The New Red Band Trailer for The Devil Inside

Paramount Pictures has released this new Red Band trailer for William Brent Bell’s horror film The Devil Inside , opening in theaters on January 6. Fernanda Andrade, Isabella Rossi, Simon Quarterman, Evan Helmuth, Ionut Grama, Suzan Crowley, Bonnie Morgan, Brian Johnson, Preston James Hillier and D.T. Prometheus Trailer Hits Theaters with Dragon Tattoo Tuesday

20th Century Fox is currently counting down the Thursday online launch of the trailer for Ridley Scott’s Prometheus at iTunes Movie Trailers with daily teaser clips, but we’ve received word that you can actually see the trailer in theaters starting Tuesday night at 7 p.m. nationwide with David Fincher’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo !

It’s another case where one studio is debuting an anticipated trailer with another studio’s film, in this case Sony’s “Dragon Tattoo.” Last Friday, Warner Bros. also debuted the 6-minute prologue for Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises with the IMAX premiere of Paramount’s Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol .

First Look at Toy Story Short Small Fry

The Toy Story characters are back on the big screen again following the short “Hawaiian Vacation” that played in front of Cars 2 earlier this year. This time, they are appearing in the short “Small Fry,” which hits theaters with The Muppets on November 23rd.

In the short, Buzz Lightyear gets replaced by a pint-sized impostor, says USA Today , which released this first-look image.

The newspaper adds: “Blame it all on toy envy as a Happy Meal-type toy at a fast-food restaurant yearns to break out of his glass display case to play just like a real toy. Teaser Trailer for the Eddie Murphy Comedy A Thousand Words

The Dark Knight Rises IMAX Prologue Gets a PG-13

November 10th, 2011

First reported last month , a six-minute prologue to The Dark Knight Rises is going debut with Paramount Pictures’ early release of Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol in IMAX theaters on December 16 (the film has its general release on Dec. 21). Today, confirmation arrives that the footage even has an MPAA rating. It’s going to be PG-13 for “some violence”.

The plan matches the screening situation in December 2007 where The Dark Knight attached its opening sequence to IMAX prints of I Am Legend .

The Dark Knight Rises opens in theaters on July 20, 2012. Check back soon for a full listing of when and where the prologue can be seen.

Lionsgate Sets Dirty Dancing Release Date

November 5th, 2011

Lionsgate announced a release date for Kenny Ortega’s updated Dirty Dancing today. The film will be headed to theaters on July 26, 2013, which is the same date as Disney has the Phineas and Ferb movie scheduled.

In other release news, the studio has pushed back horror film The Possession from January 6, 2012 to August 31, 2012. This moves the movie away from Paramount’s The Devil Inside , now scheduled for January 6.

Following photos from the set and yesterday’s video , a second set video has surfaced which shows more of the filming of Zack Snyder’s Superman movie Man of Steel in Vancouver.

Scheduled to hit theaters on June 14, 2013, the Warner Bros. action adventure stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Michael Shannon, Antje Traue, Russell Crowe, Ayelet Zurer, Christopher Meloni, Harry Lennix and Laurence Fishburne.
