Opening in theaters on February 10, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island has just released, through Yahoo! Movies , a brand-new trailer with an introduction by stars Dwayne Johnson and Josh Hutcherson. Check it out in the player below!

Fox Searchlight Acquires Beasts of the Southern Wild

Fox Searchlight Pictures announced today at the Sundance Film Festival that the company has acquired U.S. rights to Benh Zeitlin’s Beasts of the Southern Wild . The full press release:

Fox Searchlight Pictures Presidents Stephen Gilula and Nancy Utley announced today that the company has acquired U. S. rights to the fantastical drama BEASTS OF THE SOUTHERN WILD. Directed by Benh Zeitlin and written by Lucy Alibar and Zeitlin, BEASTS OF THE SOUTHERN WILD stars Quvenzhané Wallis and Dwight Henry. The film was produced by Michael Gottwald, Dan Janvey and Josh Penn. Philipp Engelhorn, Paul Mezey and Michael Raisler are executive producers . The film is scheduled to be released in 2012.

Relativity Pushes Back The Raven and House at the End of the Street

Relativity Media has made two big release date changes today.

The Raven was scheduled to go up against John Carter on March 9th, but the James McTeigue-directed thriller will now open in theaters on April 27th. Starring John Cusack, Luke Evans, Alice Eve, Brendan Gleeson and Oliver Jackson-Cohen, the film faces The Five-Year Engagement and Safe on the new date.

Relativity also pushed back the Jennifer Lawrence-starrer House at the End of the Street from April 20th to September 21st. The horror thriller will go up against Dredd and Hotel Transylvania on the new release date.

Relativity’s Haywire just opened last Friday and their next film, Act of Valor , opens on February 24th.

Producer Roy Lee on Old Boy and Battle Royale

ComingSoon.net’s ShockTillYouDrop.com recently visited the set of CBS Films thriller 7500 and was able to talk to the film’s producer, Roy Lee, about his upcoming projects.

One of them is the Old Boy remake, to be directed by Spike Lee and starring Josh Brolin. “We are planning to shoot ‘Old Boy’ in March and that should start pre-production in late January,” he said. “This is a brand new script by Mark Protosevich. Hysteria Hits Sony Pictures Classics

Sony Pictures Classics has announced that they have acquired all U.S. and South African rights to Hysteria . The film is directed by Tanya Wexler from a script by the team of Stephen Dyer and Jonah Lisa Dyer. A trio of women produced Hysteria – Forthcoming Films’ Sarah Curtis, Informant Media’s Judy Cairo, and Beachfront Films’ Tracey Becker.

The film stars Academy Award nominee Maggie Gyllenhaal and Hugh Dancy alongside Jonathan Pryce, Rupert Everett, and Felicity Jones and had its World Premiere at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival.

New Still From The Woman in Black

CBS Films has released a new still from The Woman in Black which you can check out below.

Directed by James Watkins from a script by Jane Goldman, the horror film follows a young lawyer, Arthur Kipps (Daniel Radcliffe, Harry Potter ), who is ordered to travel to a remote village and sort out a recently deceased client’s papers. As he works alone in the client’s isolated house, Kipps begins to uncover tragic secrets, his unease growing when he glimpses a mysterious woman dressed only in black. Receiving only silence from the locals, Kipps is forced to uncover the true identity of the Woman in Black on his own, leading to a desperate race against time when he discovers her true intent.
